A few things we have been up to

Here's some photos of what we've been up to in the last few weeks.

There's the first day of school...taken after school, since I forgot in the morning!

This is Austin's...He obviously didn't want to have anything to do with the camera.

We kept Austin home for one more year. He turned 5 and could go to school, but we felt he needed one more year at home...This is what I found when I picked him up from preschool today.

Just one more reason on my list I think we made the right decision...This is "This" shoved into a pocket in his backpack. No idea he took it!

Gemma, Amy and I went to Austin to see the 5 Browns...hoping it will inspire them to practice!

Here is a collage...I meant to do a few pictures, but then it pretty much did it with all the pictures I've taken since May. Once it started I decided, what the heck?! If you're brave check it out and see what we have done since May!! Not sure what you'll get or see once you click on it!

Happy late birthday Nicholas

I'm about 3 weeks late, but Nicholas turned 8 on August 31st. We spent the day in the doctor's because Nicholas had the flu, so it was pretty much the best birthday he's ever had! Anyway, it's hard to believe he is 8. We love having Nicholas in our family!

Here's a picture of him at about 1 year...don't have any of him as a "baby" on the computer.

Here he is getting his frogs for his birthday...pretty much the easiest "pets"! Feed 2 times a week, change water 2 times a year!

We start a new chapter...cub scouts. I am not a scouter, but I get to work with him in Wolf's, so maybe I'll learn to like scouts!

Happy Birthday Austin

Today Austin turns 5. I can't believe how big he is. He is very independent, hot and cold and still so snuggly! We've had many changes (which will eventually be blogged about) and he has been a trooper through them all. I get one more year at home with him before he starts school, so we are going to live it up this next year!

Roses, Roses

Look what Shane brought home for me!!  He even got my favorite colors!!  I wish I had taken a picture of them wrapped neatly as 16 roses. 

 

Happy 16 Years!

Today, Shane and I have been married for 16 years.  Since I can't find any of my wedding pictures (I know where they are, just can't get to them at the moment.) I found an engagement picture to share...as Austin said "You and dad look different.  You look like Gemma and you have lipstick on!"

It has been the best 16 years...looking forward to more!  I love you Shane!!

Hill Country Charm!

I met a fun friend Amy at school (she has a girl Amy's age) She's the kind who never knew a stranger! And she LOVES people with 4 kids...lucky me! since she has 4 kids too. Anyway, she started an Etsy store.*

Amy brought me a gift on Monday (it was a nice surprise since I was sick in bed for 3 days!) and the only thing she asked was that I tell people who made it for me and where they can get one...I'm all about advertising for free merchandise! So I decided to take it one step further and blog about it too! It's this cute necklace...You have to have 4 kids/grandkids/friends/random names to put on it, but she does have other charms here!

*I have to confess I have NEVER looked at Etsy...heard great things about it, but never looked. Probably because I knew I would find WAY too many things I want and with our household finances right now I can't buy, so my theory is why look?!
